My lovely Filix was 7 years old yesterday! The day was celebrated at home with Tiffi and a yummy dinner!
The vet's report is heart valve trouble, but not too bad and he has new meds that should help. He is his usual self - full of mischief and love.

I should have another photo here, a wooly cardigan I just finished for my grandson. But I was in such a hurry to pack it in my case when I went to see them on Thursday, I completely forgot the photo! I will get one though.

And then Friday morning I got a message from DH informing me he had been admitted to hospital with a high temperature and heart problems! Can't leave him to himself for 5 minutes. So I had to pack again and get a train home (couldn't fly because I had both dogs with me.)
Caught a train very early Sunday morning. As we got off the train, Tiffi tried to jump onto the platform, missed and slipped out of her reins and down by the tracks! Before I could think, I had jumped down, grabbed her and crawled back onto the platform. Phew! A bit shaky afterwards!

Since then I have divided my time between dogs and the hospital. Thank goodness it is only 5 mins away.
Today they seem to have controlled DH's pulse and his heart is beating normally on it's own. They still don't know why he has a high temperature, but they are taking all sorts of tests.
Of course I have some work with me ... a little stitchery and some more knitting, and I am getting quite a bit done each day, hospitals not being the most exciting place to be. Hopefully they will find out something soon and fix it!

I hope you all have a sunny week - whether you are heading into autumn or spring!

  1. Uff, du har hatt mere dramatikk en noen kunne tenke seg til at en uke skulle kunne gi.
Håper alt er bra med både mann og hund.
Grattis med 7 års dagen, på etterskudd :o)
