Still around

Hello again! I have been quiet, I know, but I have been following your blogs and I have kept my fingers working. I have just realized how soothing knitting socks can be ..... here's a pair for son #2 (trying to break the black dress code).
My nephew's wife had her birthday this month (is that a niece-in-law?), so I made rugmugs for her. Had to try out my new machine .. machine appliqué and a little free motion quilting.
And yes, she is a cat person.
And Mr. Postman brought a parcel all the way from down-under.
My prize from OPAM in December. Thankyou, Kris and Peg, I love the fabrics - and look at that cute little pen! And I am definitely in for another OPAM year!
I love having visitors and this last week my friend came to stay (from where I lived before).
We have had fun shopping, talking, eating, talking a lot some more ...  These hearts are crocheted by her during her stay. We have plans to sell some of our stuff at a Christmas fair in November! She is always so organized ... I do have plans though!!!
See the little owl in the window? She knows how much I love them .. and this one is really cute.
I haven't just been making plans - I have sewn this block that is part of a Mystery quilt in my WISP collection. I am going to finish it this year. It was fun going over the first blocks again. I can see that I am getting better at needle-turn appliqué.

It is snowing softly outside. The dogs have been for a walk and are snoozing happily. So now I can start on
a new project I have in mind ....
Hope you all have a great weekend and have a little time to do what you want to.
Hugs!
