Because I have been working on this ... and it is finished at last! The first of the birthday quilts as I call them in my mind. This is for someone who doesn't read my blog. I am quite pleased with it. It has wool batting so it will be nice and warm and snuggly.
It was difficult to get a good photo, but it measures ab. 170 x 140.
Poor Tiffi got bored and demonstrated by standing like this for ages (actually I think she likes to stretch her long back). She did get a treat for being patient and for not getting back on the (newly washed) quilt while my back was turned.
My eldest son has moved to Australia to study and he wanted to test how long the post would take, so he sent me this cute little owl - my sister promptly named it Sheila! :-)
Hi Anne-lise--love that blue quilt==and I keep thinking I will try some wool batting==but so far??? one of the Authors who makes alot of wall hangings says she always uses wool batting for them as it helps them hang better!!!
ReplyDeleteI love the picture of doggie stretching--

I just love blue and white quilts!
ReplyDeleteDear little Tiffi, I want to reach into the computer and ruffle her lovely fur and kiss her little face!
Blått og hvitt er rent og vakkert sammen; flott quilt,Anne-Lise :-) Ugle fra Australia, tok vel tid hele veien opp hit!
ReplyDeleteLovely work! What a monster sized quilt! I had to surround myself in little tables when quilting the 90" one recently. I am so impressed with your 170x140. Beautiful colour combination. I like the wool batting too- very snuggly.
