Coming up for air!

I haven't forgotten you! Far from it - I still get my daily dose of blogs with my breakfast coffee. Life is rather hectic at the moment ..... so bear with me.
There have been several family conferences ......

Interrupted by a lightening visit to my sister. DH was going to attend a work course in the town she lives in, so I decided to go , too .... we had a couple of fun days together ... some shopping (of course) ... I found a lovely quilt shop in Kristiansand - and yes, I did forget my camera!!! But here's a picture of her ....
My internet time has been consumed by househunting. Yes, we have decided to move. DH has been offered a new job in the east of Norway. So in 3 months time we have to have a house and move all our stuff to it. We have to decide whether to sell or let this one ... what to redecorate/fix before we do one or the other - so much to do, my head is in a whirl!

We are driving eastwards on Saturday to look at a couple of houses - 7 hours drive each way, but I don't fancy buying without seeing it first. We'll stay the night and drive back Sunday.
I'll try to remember my camera!
I don't really mind moving - a bit exciting really - but I 'll miss having my kids and grandchildren so close. But they can easily visit - only a 5 hour train journey, and we are used to distances when we go anywhere.
So at Christmas we might be sitting on boxes, eating takeway - if anywhere is open so we can get it :)
Anyway, I hope I can get a little sewing done in between the madness here - just to relax now and then. And I'll be by with an update when I can.

  1. How exciting. Lots to plan and think about. Best of luck finding a new house. Sad about moving so far from loved ones though.

  2. Oh God, I would find a move like that so stressful.
I don't blame you do not buying a house without seeing it first, but someone else in the blogverse has. I don't know if you've seen this post http://thedesertquilter.blogspot.com/2010/10/bought-house-online-part-one.html

Good luck, fingers crossed you find the perfect house on the first visit.
