Hurrah for OPAM 2011

I am so glad Kris and Peg have started the One project a month challenge for 2011! Just what I needed! I have had a hard time getting started after the move. My work space is a lot smaller (as you can see) and my stash is still in boxes on my desk and under my desk. I am hoping for some shelves soon.....
See the cute bag hanging on the wall - that was part of my Christmas present from Di - it has a cute doggy print and it makes me smile so I have it where I can see it.

I have put up my sewing machine in the living-room for now and I do have a finish, finally! I have made a sewing kit for someone in Australia that needs a New Beginning (see sidebar). And of course I got it ready for the mail before I thought of taking a photo ... I just hope it helps someone :)
Although I haven't done so much sewing, I have been busy. I have been out walking. Walking on snow is a lot better for my feet than asphalt. The weather has been cold, but hardly any snow and what did come was like glittering fairy dust! And we have had a lot of sunny days. This is a view from our sitting room. The mountains here are more rounded than in the west and so the paths here aren't as hilly - suits me being able to see far around (being raised in the Sussex downs). So the dogs and I have been trying out different paths - Sunday we walked to the farm you can see in the background.

And this is our new home. We are settling in ok. I have joined a pilates class at a gym in town so I get out and see other people. I have tried Zumba, too. Great fun - I love to dance! (And I don't have to drag an unwilling partner to this!!) I just hope my foot doesn't react too much. Not too bad at the moment, so keeping fingers crossed. (No wonder I don't get any sewing done ....)

    Oh what a beautiful place to live, I love the balcony on your new home.
    I can imagine drinking my morning tea out there, come the Spring.
    In what direction does it face? Sunrise or sunset, what lovely skies you wil be able to watch.
    I am most impressed with your tidy work=space, mine is still in boxes ater 5 months!

    What a pretty background you have now!!!
    and I love the pictures--and am glad that you are settling well and going for walks and doing classes--oh would you mind taking my "body" with you--it needs those walks and such!!!!

    Lovely house Anne-Lise, wouldn't be hard to do some walking with those views..! I'm thinking of joining a Zumba class this term, looks like heaps of fun...

    Good news to see that you are settling in and what a fantastic view of the country side that you have there from your nice new home! Long walks, settling up your sewing room and a Zumba session all sounds just great. Looks to me that you had plenty of snow. Will send some if you are in need, lol. I like that you hung the red bag on the wall - whimsical and a happy color. :-D
