We had such beautiful summer weather yesterday! Warm and sunny, barbecue dinner, relaxing coffee on the veranda in the afternoon. And then a bit of rumbling in the distance, so I thought I'd better get my washing in, just in case.
And then it started: thunder, hail and then rain - the worst I've ever experienced! The area flooded in minutes. A brown river of clay poured down the hill behind the houses and through our gardens.
It was an amazing experience though - nature is an unrelenting force.
Am glad that you were able to enjoy some warmth and sunshine before the storm!!!

but if it is a bad one--I do feel so sorry for those whom have home damage or even lose everything in their homes--sad!!
I am still working at cleaning and organizing--
but I am hoping I can get it all finished this week--????(course I have been saying that every week for a while now!!!!)

ReplyDeleteOh wow sympathies! I bet the roots of those tiny bushes saved that bit of the bank from so much erosion. "Nature red in tooth and claw" as the saying goes.
