First of all I want to thank you for your concern and sympathy relating to the tragedies in Norway in July. I have really appreciated your kind thoughts.
Time passes and we all start picking up our lives once more thread by thread.
I thought I'd start with a post that is more or less a summary of my summer.
My eldest son, my two grandkids and I spent the first week of July in Hastings, GB. We rented a town house and had a great time there. We also went to my hometown and met up with the family one day. The kids met their English family for the first time and managed quite well in English.
The pebble beach was fascinating. I'm not sure how many stones my DGS lugged home, he thought them great souvenirs :-)
A day in London of course, with a trip on the London Eye.
Small and big feet got tired in the end.
You can always find someone willing to play.
Home again and DH and I went to visit his parents. We took a different route across the mountains and enjoyed the breathtaking views.
The last week of July has been lovely with high temperatures and sunny days. We have had trips around the district either by car or mc. These were taken in the old town in Fredrikstad.
And now we have to get back into our routines, it is August and DH is back at work. The farmers across the road have started harvesting and evenings are getting darker. Time to get back to fabric and yarn!

Stunning shots of the mountains. Funnily enough, I've still never been on the London Eye. When it was being built we used to go and see it every day as I was working close by so it was our lunchtime exercise. Don't know why I never got around to going on it!
