I know I have been busy....

..but I may have been hopping around like this bunny for all I've got to show for it!
What have I been doing since my last post?

Well, I put my old car on the market .. and it took time taking photos and doing the ad on the web. No one seems to want it, but early days yet.

Then one day I had to go and have certain body parts squished in an x-ray machine - I survived again! We are fortunate though, women over 50 get called in every two years for a check up. My friend and I went together and stopped by the mall on the way home for a bit of comfort time.

Then we had a bit of a flap as mother-in-law landed in hospital with her heart. She's better now, already sent home again with some new tablets in her hand. Not too happy about that, though. Better get her to check in with her GP just to make sure. It's not easy to help out when they live so far away.

Oh yes, Filix went for his check-up on his eye. As he is a Cavalier, the vet wanted to measure his tear production, because they sometimes get too dry eyes. Well, that intrigued me, how do you get a boisterous, always happy nutcase of a dog to cry on command? You don't. They stick blotting paper to the eyes (well, it was only a thin strip, but it worked like blotting paper..) !! And then the vet measured how many mm of the paper got wet in 60 secs! Neat?? Well, his eyes are wet enough and his infection was all cleared up, so he demonstrated just how quick he works the audience for a tidbit. Hug mummy like a terrified pup and the nice vet gives a treat! Goodie! Hug mummy like a .... yes, he repeated the show 3 times!

And today I've moved a bookcase into my workroom for my craft books and patterns etc. And though I picked the books out of the shelves of other bookcases (and then sorted all by theme) I ended up with a pile of books on the floor that don't fit in the shelves anymore??? I'm hoping the library will give some a new home (the ones I can part with). I hate to throw away books! The shelves do look a bit tidier... and now I've got room for a new bookcase in the hall again... great solution to the problem. I hope my ever patient husband thinks the same :))

Sewing?? With all this going on? Alright, I have done a little bit. Finished the basket bom. And it looks like this.

Well, almost. The colours here are a bit dark. But I like how it turned out. So now I must stop nattering and get going on something else. Cheerio for now, Anne-Lise
