Julie has had a fun idea. She's called it It's your life. Every Tuesday you get questions about your life so you can chronicle your life events for your children/grandchildren/family to read about later. (Or you can use it to restore your memory when you start getting fuzzy...) If you want to join in, go to Julie's blog and follow instructions.
1. What was your mother's name? Joan Ella
Your Father's name? Thomas Hugo
Your grandmother's names? Bertha Emily and Karen Amalie
Your grandfather's names? Garfild Carl Anton and Fredrik
What did you call them? Mummy and Pappa, Nanny and Granddad.
I didn't meet my paternal grandparents as they lived in Norway and we lived in England. Travelling was far too expensive then.
2. Do you have brother's and sisters? One older sister and one younger brother.
What are their names? Joyce and Olav Carl.
How old were you when they were born? My sister is 3 yrs older than me and my brother is 8 yrs younger than me.
Do you remember the first time you saw them? I remember seeing my brother.
3. What about your aunts and uncles? Bob and his wife, Enid.. The others; Joyce, Pete, Carl, Ivar, Randi, Gro, Marit, Hans, Odd, Arne + their husbands/wives....
Did they play an important part in your growing up? Uncle Bob and auntie Enid ; very, very much! They lived across the street from us and their kids and we grew up together.
Did your family get together much casually or did you have to travel to spend time together? We were very close to our grandparents and above mentioned aunt and uncle. We spent a lot of time together and my best Christmas memories are from when we were all together at my grandparents'.
