A sign of spring?

We have a saying here "Xmas lasts until Easter". Well, it's not quite Easter, but the sun was shining, the snow was dripping and seagulls calling- and there was just a hint of spring in the air. So it was time for my red curtains to come down.
I admit I did put them up for xmas - I like the red glow when it is dark and cold out. And then we had the Chinese new year celebration - and red is an important colour for that, too.
Sorry the "after" picture is dark - the sun had moved round to that side of the house. Now my kitchen is bright and airy.
Mr. Postman has been here! Look! I entered Di's blogoversary giveaway. And I won something again :)
Cute pink parcel (ok, yes - I did it up again to take the photo). And a cute cupcake - I told Di she had to save some cake for me!
A Moda charmpack - beautiful colours and prints! And see, the cupcake opens and inside I found sweets - yummy! And a cute butterfly to remind me of spring. Thank you, Di - lovely surprise.
